Stayed at a hotel in Plymouth over Christmas and was surprised in a good way by the breakfast. Their continental breakfast had a lot of variety including fresh juices and pastries. the location was also great with easy access to the harbor and walking distances to lots of attractions. the rooms were clean and spacious.
The one thing that really let this hotel down was the noise level. the walls were thin and I could hear everything from the rooms around me.

Upper floor room had view over fishing boat dock and harbour towards the Barbican. Useful parking (ask for the permit at reception). Only 10 minute walk to either city centre, shops, or Barbican, or university.
Window didn't shut properly and was rather noisy in the wind.

The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly from the moment we arrived. They greeted us with big smiles and were always ready to assist with anything we needed. The rooms were spotless and very well-maintained, making for a comfortable stay. the hot breakfast was a pleasant surprise. Unlike other hotels, it was made to order, ensuring it was served fresh and piping hot. This added touch made our mornings even better.
One minor downside was the limited parking on the weekends. We were directed to park at the neighboring hotel, which was a slight inconvenience.
